Fill My Cup Lord

It seems that lately everyone needs a refill from God. When did I start to realize this? Well, shortly after summer ended and school started back up again, everyones fire seemed to have burned out. Is it the temptation for the things of this world? or is it the lack of time spent in the church. All I know is that us, as in this world, are in desperate need for revival. I'm not the only person who has taken notice of this. But how can we start something extra ordinary for God?

What is the true meaning of saved? I grew up knowing that to be saved, you have to repent of your sins, and to repent means to ask for forgiveness and turn away from your sins... well at least thats my definition. But when you repent and turn away from your sins, you are turning away from it, not making a decision to turn away just for "a little while." Kind of like a pair of shoes. If they are torn up, dirty, and old and you decide to throw them away, you aren't going to reach into the garbage can later so you can wear them again. Once their gone, their gone. Or at least thats how it should be. Right? But there are so many people in this world that think once their saved, they'll always be saved no matter what. But thats wrong, and maybe thats why so many people feel so far from God. Even the little things that may seem fine and safe to you could be disastrous in the end. Little things such as, lets say, cussing. I don't know about yours, but my bible says cussing is a sin. They are evil words. And where does evil come from? Anything evil is of the devil. (Get it? D + Evil = Devil.) So every time you swear just a little bit, you are pretty much speaking the devils language. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Also, gossiping is a huge problem these days. Why can't people mind their own business anymore? Whatever happened to privacy?

There is a line between us and the things of this world, and everytime we cross that line just a little bit, for anything that is ungodly, we are opening the door to sin just a little bit more. Soon you won't be able to resist temptation and you'll backslide. So we need to close that door and step far away from that line. We need change. In order to see change, we have to change first.
Check your heart. It's something we all need to do... and once this happens... we can LET THE FLAMES BEGIN.
